Hydrogen Generator
For Industrial Uses: Erredue Sirio Hydrogen Generators
The new Sirio hydrogen generator perfectly meets the needs of applications where medium quantities of pure and compressed gas are required, such as metal heat treatment and Biomethane production processes, thanks to the very high purity levels guaranteed by ErreDue's PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) technology.
Sirio is Plug and Play: thanks to its ease of use and autonomy, it is enough to connect it to the electrical supply and fill the tank with water; In this way, it can immediately produce pure hydrogen at the required pressure and flow rate. It does not require any auxiliary system. The unit includes a generator, water tank and a purification system for the produced gas. Hydrogen flow rate varies between 0.5 m3/hour and 2 m3/hour and multiple systems can be connected in parallel. The maximum pressure produced in standard models is up to 15 bar and can be optionally customized up to 30 bar. Sirio ErreDue hydrogen producers can be monitored and managed remotely thanks to integrated connectivity and ErreDue's remote support service.
How Does a Hydrogen Generator Work?
General Reaction: 2 H2O(l) ---> 2 H2(g) + O2(g)
* Electric generator (gas turbine) cooling
* Welding brass, bronze and copper
* Soldering in gold, jewelry work
* Welding gas instead of acetylene and propane
* Heat treatment - Redox
* Glass production
* Food industry - margarine production
* Nitrogen gas purification - Deoxo
* Meteorology - weather forecast balloon
* Methanization – synthetic natural gas production (SNG)
Electrolysis Method
General Reaction: 2 H2O(l) ---> 2 H2(g) + O2(g)
With electrical energy, water is decomposed into hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) molecules. While hydrogen is released at the cathode; Oxygen is released at the anode. The hydrogen released is twice as much as oxygen. NaOH alkaline solution is used to increase the conductivity of water. The diaphragm between the anode and cathode prevents the released gases from mixing with each other.
